In recognising and forging links with Israel, the United Arab Emirates has taken a decision based on “strategic necessity”, but would not abandon the Palestinian cause, said Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation.
